Les Maisons de Bricourt are, above all, three homes overlooking
the bay of Mont St-Michel. I was born in the first, which today
has become the restaurant O. Roellinger. Dating from 1760,
this house once belonged to shipowners from the Compagnie
des Indes, which brought back silk, porcelain, exotic wood and
spices to nearby Saint Malo. Its architectural style is typical
of that town.
I opened the restaurant with Jane in 1982, before
acquiring Rimains, a small house on the Chemin des Amoureux,
then Château Richeux at a place known as the "Point du Jour". The
adventure continues with the addition of our marine cottages, Grain de Vanille and the Entrepôt
d'Epices Roellinger.
