Winter suppers in Brittany

Come and join us for winter suppers in Brittany dreamed up by Rodolphe, Jérôme, Emmanuel, Gaylord, Jane and me, and the whole team. Winemakers will lead the discussions, sharing their love of nature and humanity. These men and women will speak to us of their passion and their approach that respects the environment. During these various evenings, you will awaken your senses around different white wines, red wines and a few other nectars…
FEE : 140 euros all-inclusive per person.
Room (on demand) : 200 euros for 2 people.


Monday, November 15th : Burgundy Wines Supper

An evening on the theme of Burgundy, led by Catherine and Dominique Derain and the Domaine Valette. Catherine and Dominique Derain, winemakers in Saint Aubin, produce red and white vintages in Saint Aubin, Mercurey, Pommard and Gevrey Chambertin.
Domaine Valette, based in Chaintré in southern Burgundy, produces exclusively white wines in the AOC regions of Mâcon-Chaintré, Pouilly Fuissé, Pouilly Loché, Pouilly-Vinzelles and Viré Clessé.

Thursday, November 18th : Champagne Supper

This evening features Champagne with, representing its bubbles, Sophie and Pierre Larmandier for Champagnes Larmandier-Bernier, as well as Champagnes Bereche et fils. Both of them use biodynamic methods to produce wines in Vertus and Ludes. Their different vintages go from lively Champagnes to those that can accompany a meal, along with a rosé coloured with grape skins and a solera-aged champagne.

Monday, November 22nd : Sologne Valley Wines Supper

It’s with great pleasure that we invite you to discover the wines of Domaine Courtois. Claude Courtois and his son, winemakers in the Sologne region, pour their passion into different red and white vintages, produce unsulfured wines, and care for their vines with a constant respect for the terroir.

Thursday, November 25th : Jura Wines Supper

A special Jura evening, represented by Evelyne and Pascal Clairet from Domaine de la Tournelle, and Pierre Overnoy, with Anne and Emmanuel Houillon.
These two domains, located respectively in Arbois and Pupillin, offer a surprisingly broad range of wines, going from dry white wine to red wine, not to mention their superb vins jaune and vins de paille, for which the Jura region is famed.
The Domaine de la Tournelle takes a dynamic approach to producing natural wines, while Anne and Emmanuel Houillon have worked alongside Pierre Overnoy, the undisputed master of Jura wines, for the past several years.

Monday, November 29th : Loire Valley Wines Supper

This time, we invite you to discover a region from the centre, in the Loire Valley, whose wines are traditionally paired with shellfish and seafood.
The featured appellations will be AOC Sancerre with Sébastien Riffault and AOC Pouilly Fumé with Alexandre Bain. These two young winemakers produce very pure wines that reflect the terroir. You will discover an unexpected side to the Sauvignon grape.

Monday, December 6th : Anjou Wines Supper

This evening will be hosted by Cyril Le Moing and Nam-Joo Son, as well as Jean Pierre Robinot.
First, Cyril Le Moing and Nam Joo Son, winemakers in Anjou, work a small, three-hectare vineyard spread over three towns in the form of small parcels. They produce white and red wines with very singular styles.
Then, Jean Pierre Robinot, a winemaker in AOC Jasnières, AOC Côteaux Vendômois and AOC Côteaux du Loir, will present a range of quite powerful and suprising white wines, as well as a red wine produced with Pineau d’Aunis grapes.

Thursday, December 9th : Chenin Anjou Wines supper

We have the honour of sharing this last evening devoted to Natural Wines with Richard Leroy and Stéphane Bernaudeau, both of them also winemakers in Anjou, based in Rablay sur Layon and Cornu.
Chenin and more chenin, but also a few surprise vintages will complement this harmony between the dishes of the Restaurant Le Coquillage and these great white wines in the very pure and distinguished style of Anjou.
